Many things exciting things are taking place within the band. Here are some of them. Donald Weaver, Stephen Lahr, and Ryan Ward will be participating in the North Carolina All-State Band on April 23-25. They will perform a Concert at UNC-G. Donald was ranked the second best tuba player between all 9th and 10th graders in the state. Stephen was ranked forth best tuba. Ryan was ranked as the best flute player in the entire state. Please come out and support them in their concert. Ask one of the three for details. We are Proud of them all. Benjamin Guy has been selected to participate in the John Philip Sousa National Honors Band in Washington, D.C. He was selected to play a concert with 99 other musicans in the 11th and 12th grade from all over the country. Solo & Ensemble Contest is on April 27 and 28. Don't forget to pay your $3 fee to Mr. Homiller ASAP! | |||||||||||||||||||||||
